His Holiness Dudjom Yangsi Rinpoche, Sangye Pema Shepa passed away the 14th day of the Tibetan lunar 12th month; February 14th, 2022. He was the reincarnation of Dudjom Rinpoche Jigdral Yeshe Dorje the founder of the New Treasure School (Dudjom Tersar). He was therefore the current head and leader of this Nyingma school which is very popular and strong in Dolpo these days.
With the help of the old Dudjom Rinpoche, Doltrul Pema Khyentse Dorjee brought the New Treasure school to Dolpo in the last century and to this day has many followers and practitioners in the region. So, as the reincarnation of Doltul Pema Khyentse Dorjee, I, Dolpo Komang Tulku Rinpoche, have the commitment to preserve these precious teachings and continue to spread them in Dolpo.
I had planned to invite Dudjom Yangsi Rinpoche to come to Dolpo in 2-3 years, but now it is not possible anymore. Because of all this karmic relation from the past, we have a very deep connection with each other and I pray for the swift rebirth of H.H. Kyabje Dudjom Yangsi Sangye Pema Zhepa Rinpoche.
